The Official Website of The Metro Detroit Chapter of NOBLE - Leading by Action

Welcome and thank you for visiting the website of the Metro Detroit Chapter of NOBLE (National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives).  As the Metro Detroit Chapter, we lead the effort to ensure equity in the administration of justice by the provision of public service in our communities, and to serve as the conscience of law enforcement by being committed to “Justice by Action.”

On behalf of the Executive Board and the membership, we appreciate the opportunity to partner with you to reestablish and continue building trust between law enforcement, and the community we serve.  We, as part of the Black law enforcement community, play an integral role in addressing the disparities of the Criminal Justice system, particularity the issues that impact our African-American communities. To that end, our mission is to strive for equality in the administration of Justice while being committed to “Justice by Action.”

We invite you to be part of this journey with us. The Metro Detroit Chapter is comprised of law enforcement executives and rank-in-file from agencies at the federal, state, and local levels. Our chapter is also supported by our colleagues in the judiciary, and officials in the offices of the prosecutor, public defender and corrections. We are especially appreciative of our non-law-enforcement members from community and youth organizations, faith-based groups, businesses, educators, and elected officials. Please note that you do not have to be a sworn law-enforcement officer to be a member of this chapter.

We look forward to building mutual trust through respect, transparency, and integrity. We look to empower as much as to be empowered. Through this networking, we hope to lay the groundwork for a lasting partnership to benefit the community that we live in, and serve.

Please feel free to check out our website and see if there is a place for YOU to engage. We look forward to hearing from you and joining us through the resources found on this website.

Warmest Regards,

Dr. Calvin J. Higgins Jr.
President, Detroit Metro Chapter
